What Kind Of Books We Like.

The Three Little Pigs is the most popular book in Room 5L. They were popular because they are cute and funny. Six student have chosen it for their  book. Next was  the Lion King and Dream Boat.  Five people had chosen Lion King and Dream boat.The least popular book was Uncle Joe. Only 1 person have chosen these as th and this was nearly the same as  Ripley's or not believe.

Playing Tee Golf

Have you played golf yet? 
 Room 5L played golf every Thursday with coach Kannel and coach Stu. 

First we sat down and talked about courtesy. Coach Kannel asked us what it means but no one answered. He told us that courtesy means letting people before you, and told us the 2 golden rules,   "be safe while playing and have fun".

 Next we played rob the nest as our warm up.We tried to rob some balls from other hoops so we can have lots of balls. Before we start, our coach gave us numbers. I was number 4.

Then we learnt how to play golf. First was how to hold the golf club and how to swing. Coach Kannel said you hold it with your left hand, right hand, feet together, left foot out, right foot out, piggy pop, and SMASH.

Lastly, our coach asked us what we learnt. Then we shook his hands and said thank you for teaching us golf. 
I had fun playing golf with our coach.

My Special Time With My Mum

Do you have a special time with your mum?.

Last Saturday me and my mum went to Rainbow's End.
First we went on the roller-coaster. We were sitting in front of everyone, and we felt so scared that we might fell down because we are taller than everyone. Then the ride started and we were up-side-down. I got really scared so I closed my  eyes, and I did not feel scared any-more.                

Next, we went on the Invader ride.It was fun, but when you get to the top it felt like you will fall. Everyone was so scared and started to scream. I got annoyed so I blocked my ears and I covered my eyes again because I did not want to see anything.

Then we went on the ride that was called Stratosphere.I was really excited, it looked so remarkable. When it started I was glad I was   on it.

Lastly we went and ate some fish and chips and drank some fizzy. My mum asked me if I can remember the rides we went on. I said yes. I felt happy and went back home and played with my niece and had a sleep over.                                          

Hurry it's St Patrick's Day!

On Tuesday we went to church to celebrate St. Patrick's Feast Day.

First, we went to church to pray. After that we  had our short morning tea and have a little bit of play. Then, the bell rang and everyone had to go in front of room 4 and 5, so our principal can put us into teams. Our leader was Melayka, and we were in Blarneys.

Next, we were put into teams with a teacher. My team vs Mariama's team. We had to try and steal some balls from their team, we only had 10 minutes to play other wise the bell will ring and we will have no points.

Lastly we had to give our points so will know which team came first and came last. I felt very sad that my team came last, but I had fun playing lots and lots of games.

Popular Pets In Rm5L

The Turtles was the most popular pet in Room 5L. They were popular because they have an hard shell and have nice patterns on there back. Only 17 students choose turtle as their favourite pet. This was followed by dogs. Only 16 students choose dogs as their favourite pet.The least popular pets were birds because they fly away, and they create mess through bird seed going on the floor and you cannot cuddle a birds. Only 9 students choose birds as their favourite pet.

Forces In Motion.

 This term I have been learning about Forces. We did this experiment on how far a car travels when it is on a slope. I learnt that if we used two thin book the car would travel a short distance and if we used a thick pile of books the car would travel the furthest.
