You should try this?

At Technicraft today, my partners and I did an experiment on bubbles. When we went through the door, we saw on each table, five cups of water, a stopwatch, stirring rod, straws, one big beaker and one small beaker.

• Then we started our experiment by pouring 100  ml of detergent into each plastic cup.
• After that we were all told to stir each of the cups with the stirring rod that we were given. There were five cups and four people so each of the four people in each table got to stir a plastic cup.
• Later we were given one bubble blower so that we all could each blow a bubble from each of the plastic cups. We each blew a bubble from each of the plastic cups, we had to time how long the bubble would last.
• Try this experiment at home, but remember to get permission from your parents.

Now it's time to leave to go back to school.

Do you play Netball?

Sports is about exercising or enjoying it. A sport contains physical exertion in which an individual competes against others. Each sport has different rules, skills and techniques.

Netball is one of the sport that a lot of people enjoy playing or learn about. It is a game that involve positions like WD, WA, GD, GA, GK, GS and C. Some sports have a limited number of players. The rules are:

1. You are not allowed to run/step with the ball
2. There is no pushing others during the game
3. You're not allowed to hold the ball less than 3 seconds
4. When you shoot you can only take one step without both feet on the ground.

This sport can only contain seven players. Each player has limited line to pass. WD, WA, GD and GA has some line that they are not allowed to pass some of the line or go into the lines. Netball is a game for fun, for school or competitions.

Netball is a fun game to play with your friends or family members.  Netball is a game that is famous in some countries around the world. It can be a hard/tricky game to play if you don't know how to play!

Bubbles is very cool to learn about!

First we went into the hall to do a powhiri so that the year 7's could be welcomed. We sang a waiata and Cameron said a thank speech to the people who welcomed us.

At Technicraft, Rosary and I did an experiment of bubbles with Mrs Gawith and the other people in the class. We had to take our pencil cases because it had our pencils in it.

• Then we went to the science class to start our day by learning something about science and also to do our experiment on bubbles.
• After that we had to make a big puddle of the water and the soap so that we could blow our bubble and another bubble inside it.
• We had to blow a big bubble and then see how many bubbles we can make without popping the other bubbles. It was so frustrating that Rosary and I couldn't do as many as we can until we tried and tried.

Later on it was time for us to pack up for us to go back to school. We all wiped the table, put the chairs away and say goodbye to Mrs Gawith.

Dogs are very cute!

We are reviewing the structure of an explanation.
Introduction:

Pets come in very different sizes. Some families or households usually have dogs because dogs bark when they know that something is going to happen. Dogs are very expensive but you need to take good care of it.

Explanation:

It is very important that you feed the dog, wash the dog, brush the dog if it has long hair, clean the ears if it has a floppy ear and exercise it by taking it for a walk. Dogs are very good because they good sense of smell. Different kinds of pets are useful but sometimes they're not.

Dogs usually bark when they know that something wrong is going to happen. The sizes of dogs can be small or big. Sometimes dogs can be distracted by something else and they wouldn't be able to smell or bark so that you know when something is going to happen.

Conclusion:

Dogs are very fun pets to play with. Dogs can be annoying sometimes but they are very playful like children.

I got some new friends!

Today I moved into a new class at St Patrick's school which is Room 8. My teacher's name is Mrs Dines. I also met a new person, her name is Kayla. She likes to read comic books and draw pictures. Kayla is the only child in her family and likes the colour blue. Basketball is Kayla's favourite sport to play.
