Make sure you have enough soil to cover the seed!

How to plant a broad bean seed.

You will need:
  • Yoghurt pot
  • Soil
  • Broad bean seed
  • Sticker for your name
You need to:
  1. Poke some tiny holes at the bottom of the yoghurt pot and stick your name on the pot using a label.
  2. Fill the yoghurt pot with soil to the top. Brush extra soil away with your finger.
  3. Poke a hole in the middle of the soil with your pinkie finger twice the length of the seed. Drop the seed with the smiling end facing towards the sun when you're finished.
  4. Cover the top of the yoghurt pot with some more soil.

Keep watering it and after six to seven days, you will see a seedling!

Learning intention: We are learning to write a procedure.
Success criteria: I know I can do this when I write the steps for planting a broad bean seed.
