Are You Making The Right Choices ?
The Church : We Are One And Holy.
Learning Intention:
- Identify what it means to be a disciple of Jesus including entering
values and worshipping Te Atua

- Explain what is meant by the term Community of Disciples
- Explain how the church is to be a community of disciples
"We believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church"
John 17 : 20 - 23
How many times did Jesus say we are one? In this reference,
Jesus prayed that the believers (disciples and apostles) 'Are to be One"
seven times. He prayed to God to bring them to be one. He explained to God how they
are one, and was begging to God to bring them closer so that they can all be one. Jesus
said to Jesus that they may be in them so they can believe that God had sent Jesus with
the glory to that he had given him so that they can be one just as Jesus himself and God are one.
God had chosen Jesus to bring the people to be one so they may be brought to be a complete unity.
And told God that the world will now know that he sent him and have loved them evenly just as he
loves Jesus.

From my interpretation, Jesus was saying that we all are to be one.
"We are called to work towards this unity"

Apostles' Creed:
I believe in one God the father almighty, creator of heaven and earth
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son of our Lord who was conceived by
the Holy Spirit and was incarnate of the Virgin Mary and became man.
the Holy Spirit and was incarnate of the Virgin Mary and became man.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell and on the third day he rose again from the death.
He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the father almighty,
he will come again in glory to judge the living and the death and his kingdom will have no end.
he will come again in glory to judge the living and the death and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, the Communion of
Saints the Forgiveness of Sins and the Resurrection of the Body and Life Everlasting.
Saints the Forgiveness of Sins and the Resurrection of the Body and Life Everlasting.
Amen
The Church is ONE and HOLY
HOLY
because Te Wairua tapu dwells in each person. Our body is the body of the temple.
If we break our body we are breaking the Holy spirit in us.
If we break our body we are breaking the Holy spirit in us.
We are not perfectly Holy
because of the choice and obstacles that we make, we are still
journeying towards the fullness of Christ. We are still on that pilgrim
journey and that is not perfectly holy.
journeying towards the fullness of Christ. We are still on that pilgrim
journey and that is not perfectly holy.

A kind-hearted teacher!
I am looking for a teacher that can teach many things just like Jesus taught the people and his Apostles. A teacher that is able to use a variety of ways to teach. A teacher that is able to teach so that the people could follow on what Jesus did like being kind, showing love and reaching out to help the poor and those in need.
|
Walht: incorporate the qualities that Jesus would look for in an apostle to continue spreading the word of God today.

Do you have any one in your family who influence you as you grow?
Walh: People around us influence us as we grow.
People who influenced me in my life: How do they influence me ?
Parents:
Mum, Dad, Grandad, Grandmum and caregivers.
|
They give guidance while you grow up and also they set boundaries so that you could be safe. Parents teach you the right thing to do like manners so that you know what to do when you go out to different places.
|
Priest/Mission Sisters:
|
Priest and the Mission sister influence us by teaching us about Jesus and his family. The encourage us when we grow older to become more closer to Jesus and know that Jesus is our father.
|
Teachers:
|
Teachers influence us by encouraging us to choose or make the right choices so that when we grow up we can look back and see what good choices we can make again.
|
Friends:
|
Friends influence us by encouraging us by becoming together to play or hang out to have some fun or to have some time to spend together and have some laugh before we leave each other to go to another school or going to university.
|
Family:
|
Our family influence us by becoming closer with each other and also knowing each other so that when we grow up to be like others, we can look back at how many times we spent having fun with each other. Uncles and aunties show us the right path to go and also teaches us how to do things.

We love you Mary!
Learning Intention: We are learning a traditional prayer.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I use Blabberize to record the prayer: The Angelus Prayer.
The angel spoke God's message to Mary,
and she conceived of the Holy Spirit.
Hail Mary...
“I am the lowly servant of the Lord:
let it be done to me according to your word.”
Hail Mary...
And the Word became flesh
and lived among us.
Hail Mary...
Pray for us, holy Mother of God,
that we may become worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray.
Lord,
fill our hearts with your grace;
once, through the message of an angel
you revealed to us the incarnation of your Son;
now, through his suffering and death
lead us to the glory of his resurrection.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
