Christmas Food Fair Invitation

Dear Aunty Ray,
         
I am writing this to invite you to come to our Christmas Food Fair on the 9th of December. It will be in the afternoon at St. Patrick's
School field. You will see  different food stalls. We will be selling Samoan Food, Tongan Food, Chinese Food and Filipino Food. My mum and my cousins and aunty will be cooking some Tongan Food.

If you could come that will be great. You could watch my class sing and perform a Christmas Song. Hope to see you there.

Fraction Art.

Fraction Art.
Here is how to make a Fraction Art.
This is what you will need: 
Pencil
Pastels
A Circle 
Instruction:
1. Fold the paper from the short end to the long end to form a triangle.
2. Then, Fold the extra end to the back to make a square.
3. Now you will need to cut the extra end.
4. Open the square and fold it in half and fold it again to make quarters and open it.
5. Trace a Circle on to the square and measure 1 cm on each four sides.
6. Number and initial each quarter.
7. Cut the circle into quarters.
8. Draw and kind of design you like in each quarters.
9. Trace you drawing with Pastels. (then you can colour)
10. Finally, you can Colour you background.

Nose Blowing With School Nurse.

Nose Blowing

Last Last Friday we had our school nurse. Her name was Elizabeth.

Elizabeth told us to don't sniff because there's a tube that goes to your middle ear and you will be deaf. It goes to your middle ear, down your throat and into your lungs. A clear nose is when it warms the air, Moistens the air and filters dust and germs.

Next we all got a tissue. I had to block one nose and unblock the other to see if something will come out or if your nose will hurt. Then she asked my class and I a question , When you sneeze does some mucous come out? When you sneeze it goes into your lungs and you will be in a lot of pain.

Next she gave some stickers to Mrs Towmey and also gave papers that said how to blow your nose and it said when to blow your nose, ``Blow your nose before you go to school, before bed time and while your at school and when you feel you have mucous''.

Lastly we said a big thank you to Elizabeth for coming to teach my class and I about our nose.

I had lot of fun learning about my nose and how does it feel to have a clean nose.

I learnt that a clear nose is when you feel free and when you can breath probably .

My Last Day Of Playing Badminton.

Last Friday was my last day playing Badminton.

For my warm ups, me and my friends had to play stuck in the mud. My class and I had to run around the hall.

Next we practise how to hit the shuttle. Coach Ben told us to face the racket on your belly button. Then face the shuttle facing the racket and drop the shuttle and hit.

Now it was time to use the Net. We had to be six in a groups. We had to try and get lots and lost of scores as we can. I was against Eti. She kept on winning. I kept on loosing. 

Finally we had to put the racket and the shuttle back. We all said thank you to Coach Ben. I had a lot of fun playing Badminton.

My grouping within ten

This is my grouping within ten. Today I used blocks to make my grouping within tens. My equation was Five plus Five equals ten. I also did a word problem and a number problem. I used Five yellow blocks and Five green blocks. 

Time to play Badminton.

Yay! Its time to play Badminton! Last Friday my class played Badminton at the school hall.

First I had to do some warm ups. I jogged from one end of the room to the other side twice. My second warm up was to face the right and jog and jump twice to the other side and back. 

Next we got the racket and learned its part. Later on I learned how to hold it, and hit the shuttle. While I played coach Ben told us to get some space because we might hit someone .

After that I said thank you to coach Ben and went back to class. I enjoyed playing Badminton.

Pattern 3

 

Today I have learned how to use Google Drawing to make a three repeated patterns. My shapes are triangle,circle and square. The colours I used were Yellow,Green and Red. I tried to make it of the same size. On odd lines I used the pattern Yellow,Green and Red. On even lines I started my pattern using Yellow,Green and Red.

My Special Time With My Mum

Do you have a special time with your mum?.

Last Saturday me and my mum went to Rainbow's End.
First we went on the roller-coaster. We were sitting in front of everyone, and we felt so scared that we might fell down because we are taller than everyone. Then the ride started and we were up-side-down. I got really scared so I closed my  eyes, and I did not feel scared any-more.                

Next, we went on the Invader ride.It was fun, but when you get to the top it felt like you will fall. Everyone was so scared and started to scream. I got annoyed so I blocked my ears and I covered my eyes again because I did not want to see anything.

Then we went on the ride that was called Stratosphere.I was really excited, it looked so remarkable. When it started I was glad I was   on it.

Lastly we went and ate some fish and chips and drank some fizzy. My mum asked me if I can remember the rides we went on. I said yes. I felt happy and went back home and played with my niece and had a sleep over.                                          

Hurry it's St Patrick's Day!

On Tuesday we went to church to celebrate St. Patrick's Feast Day.

First, we went to church to pray. After that we  had our short morning tea and have a little bit of play. Then, the bell rang and everyone had to go in front of room 4 and 5, so our principal can put us into teams. Our leader was Melayka, and we were in Blarneys.

Next, we were put into teams with a teacher. My team vs Mariama's team. We had to try and steal some balls from their team, we only had 10 minutes to play other wise the bell will ring and we will have no points.

Lastly we had to give our points so will know which team came first and came last. I felt very sad that my team came last, but I had fun playing lots and lots of games.

WALT Spend Money On A Budget.
I know I can do this when I count my money from room 5 reward bag. Then I tried  to spend my money on thing I need or want. This is a presentaition to show what I would spend my money on.
